The Legend of Maggotjack
[Every town has its monsters]
The locals call him Maggotjack, a creepy horse that appears on late autumn nights.
His hide looks like rotting green flesh, stretched tight over his ribs. Where his head should be sits a misshapen pumpkin, its crooked mouth dripping with toxic-looking foam.
They say that if you find a rotten pumpkin on your doorstep Maggotjack has chosen you.
Don't throw it away. And whatever you do, don't bring it inside. If you hear hooves outside that night, close the curtains and don't look out.
